- Test with autoserum for the diagnostics of chronic relapsing urticaria
Allergy tests (patch test) for allergies to chemicals - European panel (30 haptens)
Only in our center you can pass allergy tests (patch tests) with a set of the most common haptens recommended by the European Research Group on Environmental and Contact Dermatitis (EECDRG).
Using an allergy test (patch tests) it is possible to accurately determine the cause of contact dermatitis, as well as get differential diagnostics of allergic contact dermatitis, including metals (nickel and cobalt), as well as a number of chemical agents collected in the European panel S-1000.
What is a patch test?
- These are application skin tests (allergy tests) for diagnosing contact dermatitis.
- With the help of patch tests it is possible to accurately determine the cause of contact dermatitis, as well as get differential diagnostics of allergic contact dermatitis, including metals (nickel and cobalt), as well as a number of chemical agents collected in the European panel S-1000.
Patch Test Technique
A patch with a small amount of chemical is applied to the back skin in the area between the shoulder blades. The result is evaluated after 24–48 hours for an initial assessment of the reaction, which is carried out 30 minutes after removal of the patch test.
The test results are re-evaluated 48 hours after setting, then after 3 or 4 days and, if necessary, after 7 days.
If the patient has sensibilization to contact allergens or is allergic to dental materials, a local reaction is observed in the areas of skin contacting with them.
Preparing a patient for patch testing
The skin of the patient's back should be clean, without rashes, in order to avoid false-positive test results.
Stop administration topical or systemic glucocorticosteroids 2 days before the tests.
After setting an allergy test (patch test), it is necessary to avoid physical exertion (to avoid sweating) and not to wash for the duration of the test.
